  1. Restaurante Mira Maré · Florianópolis, Brazil: - While on vacation, my friend and I found this place right on the beach with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Everybody who joined us for dinner considered their food to be phenomenal even though we all got wildly different orders (my friend got Paella and swears it changed their life) to the point that we visited this restaurant almost every day we were in the area, so I'd consider it a crowd pleaser. They also had a wide array of tasty fancy drinks, as well as absolutely perfect polenta - crunch
  2. Mart Pretzel Bakery · Cinnaminson Township, USA: - Dutch-style soft pretzels freshly baked in-house every single morning. To say I love these pretzels more than just about any other snack on earth feels like I am understating how much I love them. I grew up in an area within driving distance from their original shop before they relocated, and any time I go back to New Jersey, I fit this into my trip somehow because I have NEVER purchased a soft pretzel that tastes as good as this one in my entire life.
  3. Howlin' Ray's Hot Chicken - Chinatown · Los Angeles, USA: - The chicken & waffle basket is the PERFECT balance of salty/savory/sweet. If you want a guilty pleasure meal or to just indulge in tasty comfort food, the chicken & waffle here will NOT disappoint. It's the perfect balance of crispy, hot, fluffy, salty, savory and sweet all slapped together. I prefer getting no extra heat on my chicken, but if you're a fan of spice, they offer it.
  4. Indigo Cow · Los Angeles, USA: - A charming little soft serve shop that specializes in Hokkaido Milk Ice Cream. Highly recommend ordering 100% plain Hokkaido milk ice cream the first time you try it even though the toppings are tasty, as it has a very gentle, pleasant milk flavor that can get easily lost under the toppings they offer. It's hard to explain, but this ice cream feels very "light" in the sense that I could eat 10 cups of it and not feel all 'heavy' like other ice creams make me feel if I eat too much of it.
