[HALAL] Asam Pedas Claypot Restaurant • Kota Laksamana · Malacca City, Malaysia: ❌No alcohol❌ Closes Tuesday. Asam pedas ikan pari is yummy. Plus you get to try stingray. Asam pedas telur ikan is interesting too if you're into trying out new things. It's all quite spicy though ^^
Beh Leh Hainam Satay · Malacca City, Malaysia: ❌No alcohol❌ Closes Tuesday. Satay with pineapple peanut sauce. There's chicken, pork, intestine, and chicken gizzard to choose from. Their cendol is good too. There's also sarsi and ice cream soda in glass bottles, Malaysia's childhood drinks.
Restoran Ban Lee Siang - Satay Celup · Malacca City, Malaysia: Closes Friday & Wednesday. You'll see this food only in Malacca! Skewers are counted and paid after you finish eating. Satay celup kuah is reused between customers, so if you're squeamish, you can get your own clean pot for an extra cost. It's an unwritten rule to not double dip the kuah unless you get your own pot ^^
[HALAL] Pak Putra Restaurant · Malacca City, Malaysia: ❌No alcohol❌ Closes Monday. It's near a touristy place so price is a little higher, but the taste of the food is phenomenal. The later you go, the more people there are. It's basically a mamak, but it's perfect for a late night meal if you're in Malacca. I personally recommend trying their butter cheese naan and chicken pasanda. They also have butter chicken and tandoori chicken, but honestly, everything is decent.
