Multiple branches exist, but this one's the OG. The chicken is great, but the gravy makes it even better, and the coleslaw isn't bad. Can't go wrong whatever chicken type you order, but the whole or half spring chicken is an ✨experience✨ made fresh (just don't burn yourself!)
Serves the other national dish of Singapore (besides chilli crab). Family-owned and run chicken rice place, popular with cosplayers after attending major conventions like AFA Singapore! I've done some business entertaining here before and brought friends here when we want "local but a bit fancier".
Unique fantasy-themed tabletop + board game location with amazing weekday lunch deals and a great selection of games! They're free to play if you order above a set amount of food and drink. Very strong local geek community vibe, lots of events like art jams, TCG nights and D&D nights happen here!
SERIOUSLY FILLING and so flavorful. You can't go wrong with any of the options. Do bring cash though, and be warned there's no English menu - you press a button on a JP language vending machine and get a ticket for your order. Kept me and my family full as a very yummy brunch.
Cash only, no EN menu. Sweetest obaasan and daughter outlet. Tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, and I got to practice my kaiwa here. I'm a sucker for their yamakake don with any of the sashimi reccs of the day, or any of their grilled fish options. If she offers zakokku-mai (mixed grain rice), take it - it's healthy AND pleasant to eat unlike other high grain blends! (I still have a souvenir chawan they gave me for free.)
