  1. Jeju Island (Jeju Do) · New York, USA: A personal favorite of mine as a Queens native. Went here all the time with my mom growing up for the fresh seafood.
  2. Rokurinsha Tokyo Ramen Street · Chiyoda: Hardly a little-known dive, because this place is fairly popular (there was a huge line out the door when I went). But the tsukemen noodles were so good I literally started crying.
  3. Jeju Osung Traditional Restaurant · Seogwipo-si, South Korea: There's nothing quite like having some fresh seafood after having a breezy walk along the perimeter of Jeju-do. Big warning if you're not into "fresh" stuff. But then again, if you aren't, why are you on Jeju-do to begin with?
  4. Imje Porkhouse Black Pork BBQ Jeju /任济 济州总店 (济州岛黑猪肉 塔洞) / 任济 濟州總店 (濟州島黑豬肉 塔洞) / · Jeju, South Korea: Despite the location of the pin, this restaurant is NOT in the middle of the ocean. Pictures may look upscale but it's a simple Korean BBQ place with Jeju black pig pork, right in the middle of Jeju City. Delicious.
  5. Pye Boat Noodle · New York, USA: Some of the most unique Thai noodle dishes you'll ever have the chance to eat this side of the pond.
