Punk Doily · Setagaya: Best Australian Meat Pies in Japan... And possibly Australia! Only open on weekends and some public holidays.
The Hearth Board Game Bar and Café · Chuo, Osaka: My regular for years. Kangaroo toasties, really inexpensive board games (one charge not hourly charge), good coffees, and a welcome vibe of international and Japanese people. Great for visitors and residents alike!
Barista Map Coffee Roasters · Chuo, Osaka: Best coffee you will find in Osaka, if not Japan. Run by a World Champion, managed by a Multiple World Runner-Up. Also fun to explore Amemura nearby!
PC and Retro Bar Space Station · Chuo, Osaka: One of the older gaming bars in Japan, especially run by someone not Japanese. Retro games, fairly priced drinks, and a friendly vibe. There's other gaming themed bars around too, so explore the area and use this as a kickoff point!
Dario · Nishitokyo: Really delicious Italian food, reasonably priced with good servings. Owned by an Italian guy named well... Dario. Tables seat a maximum of 4, and most tables only 2. Menu is only in Italian and Japanese, but Dario also speaks English. Quality food that really showcases the power of what Nerima and Nishitokyo can offer in the culinary world.
