  1. Kopp's Frozen Custard · Greenfield, USA: If you like Culver’s, you’ll LOVE Kopp’s. Fantastic burgers and all kinds of ice cream treats. Ice cream is made in-house!
  2. High Five Ramen · Chicago, USA: Look for a metal door with a painted handprint. May be hard to find as it’s hidden in a basement. Really neat speakeasy sort of vibe, but be prepared as it is rather dark inside (might be very difficult for low vision peeps).
  3. Taco Del Rio · La Puente, USA: CASH ONLY! I don’t live in the area anymore but this was my Friday night spot every single week for many years. Carne asada fries highly recommended. The lines can be long af but I promise it’s worth it. They do not hold back on portions.
  4. Merienda Café · Grayslake, USA: Ultra delicious Filipino fusion restaurant. Lots of yummy drinks too. The service you get here is top notch and they are super friendly and inviting. Shoutout to Chris and Crystal!
  5. Dark Matter Coffee - Meddle Coffee Bar · Chicago, USA: Great coffee. Pick up some beans (Unicorn Blood is amazing) while you’re here if you’re not from the area and like to brew at home. Isn’t open very late unfortunately 🥲
