El Milagro Tortillas · Chicago, USA: Well known locally for their amazing tortilla chips, El Milagro is amazing authentic Mexican food. If you bring people here, they will be genuinely impressed with your ball knowledge. There’s multiple locations across the city that you can eat at, so if you can’t make it to UIC campus, definitely look for one closer to where you are. Get the Puerco en Salsa Verde with corn tortillas (ALWAYS CORN)!
Freddy’s Pizza · Cicero, USA: Be careful with this knowledge for it is powerful and dangerous to wield. Freddy’s is the best mom and pop Italian lunch place in the world. Cash only, terrible parking situation, but this is the true heartbest of Chicago. Everything is good, but the chicken marsala, chicken limone, gnocchi, and tiramisu gelato are the standouts for me. If you think you can handle getting European as fuck, get the seafood salad.
Publican Quality Bread · Chicago, USA: At 1 pm everyday, you can order a jambon beurre which is absolutely delicious (beware people with no teeth because it will tear up your mouth). It also has the best cheese ever on it, Prairie Breeze (an aged white cheddar). There’s another location for this place in Oak Park and I think they both sell the jambon beurre, so pick the closest to you!
Tendon Tempura Carlos Jr. · Arlington Heights, USA: Genuinely the only place to get the most underrated Japanese food (tempura bowl = tendon) in the Chicagoland area. Also the bakery in the grocery store has chocolate chip melon pan!!!!!!!!
